Films

As a filmmaker, I’m drawn to stories that live at the intersection of magic, nature, and community. My short films explore themes of spirituality, ecology, resistance, and the quiet, powerful ways people connect with the sacred in their everyday lives. Whether I’m documenting urban beekeepers, modern pagans, or stargazers working to reclaim the night sky, my aim is to tell authentic stories that honour both people and place.

Many of my projects—like the Exploring the Sacred series—grew out of my curiosity about how earth-based spiritual practices show up in the real world. These short documentaries introduce unique people across Manitoba who are carving out sacred space and meaningful ritual in their daily lives.

I am inspired by people who lead with passion and integrity—like Harry Paine, the folk-music-loving elder of social justice whose life’s work helped shape Winnipeg’s cultural scene, and Kerr Cuhulain, a pagan author and retired police officer whose spiritual journey and advocacy for dark sky preservation remind us of the cosmos’ deep significance. Both men embody a lifetime of service and creativity rooted in community, magic, and purpose.

I believe that storytelling is both a magical act and a tool for activism and resistance.

I invite you to explore the films below and meet some of the people and practices that continue to inspire my work.
